Hopsin is the alias of Marcus Jamal Hopson an American rapper and producer from Los Angeles, California.
Starting his music career in 2001, he signed for Ruthless Records in 2007, releasing his debut album, ‘Gazing at the Moonlight’ in 2007. He founded his own label Funk Volume in 2009, and released his second album, ‘Raw’ in 2010, which he supported with the I Am RAW tour. His third album, ‘Knock Madness’, came out in 2013, and Hopsin went on a worldwide tour, which included the USA, Europe and Australia. He released his fourth album, 'Pound Syndrome', in 2015, which hit #17 in the Billboard Hot 200.
