Ian Hunter is an English rock singer, songwriter and musician from Oswestry, Shropshire, best known as the frontman of Mott the Hoople.
Starting his music career in the 1950s, as a member of various different bands, he joined Mott the Hoople in 1969, and the band had a hit with All The Young Dudes, which reached #3 in the UK Singles Chart. After the band split in 1974, he launched his solo career, with the release of his self-titled debut album. Over the years he had released plenty more solo albums, as well as releases with The Rant Band, with whom he released ‘Fingers Crossed’, in 2016. Ian Hunter will embark on a UK tour this summer.
