Jackson Wang is a singer, rapper and producer from Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.
He was first spotted by famed talent agency JYP Entertainment in 2010, who invited him to audition, where he ranked first out of more than 2000 contenders. Also a talented fencer, he was then faced with the decision to pursue his music career or continue his journey as an athlete, where he had been training for the 2012 London Olympics and been offered a prestigious fencing scholarship at Stanford University. Wang chose music, and was selected to join the K-pop boyband Got7 after appearing on the South Korean reality show, Win: Who Is Next. He released his debut solo album, 'Mirrors', in 2019, followed by 'Magic Man' in 2022. Jackson Wang has announced a North American tour for spring 2023.
