Japandroids are a Canadian rock duo consisting of frontman and guitarist Brian King and drummer David Prowse.
Forming in 2006, the band released their debut album ‘Post Nothing’ in 2009, which was followed by ‘Celebration Rock’, in 2012. The band released their third album, ‘Near to the Wild Heart of Life’, on January 27, 2017 via ANTI-. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the world, and have supported the likes of Bass Drum of Death, A Place to Bury Strangers and The Walkmen. Japandroids played UK shows for May 2017 in support of ’Near to the Wild Heart of Life’, and then headed to Australia in July, before a big North American tour in fall.
