Jeffrey Scot Tweedy - best known simply as Jeff Tweedy - is an American alt-rock and alt-country musician hailing from Belleville, Illinois. Born in 1967, Tweedy is perhaps best known as the frontman of Wilco and Uncle Tupelo.
As well as his part in bands, Tweedy can sometimes be seen touring as a solo act, and in 2014, the two-time Grammy Award winner went on to release his first solo album, 'Sukierae', in the autumn of 2018. Jeff Tweedy played a handful of shows in Ireland, Scotland, London, and Manchester in 2018, before heading to the US and Canada in spring. He's now lined-up a new US tour for early 2019.
