Jon Fratelli, real name John Lawler, is a Scottish singer, songwriter and guitarist from Glasgow, best known for his role as front man of the indie rock band The Fratellis.
Formed in 2005, Jon Fratelli and his band - Mince and Baz - released their debut album, ‘Costello Music’, in 2006 which hit #2 in the UK Albums Chart. Their second album, ‘Here We Stand’, was released in 2008, and reached #5 in the chart, before the band went on hiatus. They returned in 2012, with their third studio album, 'We Need Medicine' in 2013, 'Eyes Wide, Tongue Tied' in 2015 and 'In Your Own Sweet Time' in 2018. 2016 saw the band tour the UK to celebrate the 10th anniversary of ’Costello Music’. Jon Fratelli first embarked on his solo career in the late 2000s when he formed Codeine Velvet Club with Lou Hickey, but disbanded after one album and one tour. His debut solo effort came in the form of 'Psycho Jukebox' in 2011, and he announced the working of new material in 2012. This was put on hold while the Fratellis recorded a new album and toured around the UK, but the album was eventually confirmed in October 2018 - 'Bright Night Flowers' is due for release on February 15 2019. He'll support the new album with two headline solo shows in London and Glasgow in February. Catch him live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
