Josh T Pearson is a country folk singer from Texas, USA.
In 1996 he formed the band, Lift to Experience, and released the album, ‘The Texas-Jerusalem Crossroads’, in 2001, on Bella Union, before the group split up. He spent the next few years playing with other bands including Dirty Three, Archie Bronson Outfit, 65daysofstatic and performing at the All Tomorrow's Parties festival, as well as appearing on the Mercury Prize nominated Bat for Lashes album, ‘Fur and Gold’. His only release during this time was a cover of Hank Williams 'I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry, as part of a split 7” single with the Dirty Three, on Bella Union. He signed to Mute Records in November 2010, and released his debut solo album ‘Last Of The Country Gentlemen’ in March 2011. Josh T Pearson plays UK shows in May supporting new record ’The Straight Hits’, which dropped in April 2018.
