Kaiser Chiefs are an indie-rock band from Leeds.
Formed in 2000, the band released their debut album, 'Employment', in 2005, which reached #2 on the UK's Official Albums Chart ,and featured hit singles Oh My God, I Predict a Riot and Everyday I Love You Less and Less. Their second LP, 2007's 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob', performed even better, reaching the top spot on the chart following the success of their first #1 single, Ruby. From there, the band had solidified their position as one of the UK's best indie exports, performing on some of the world’s biggest stages at massive venues and festivals, including the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony. Their discography now totals eight albums, with the latest being 2024's 'Easy Eighth'. Kaiser Chiefs will mark 20 years of 'Employment' with a huge hometown show at Leeds' Temple Newsam Park on May 31, 2025. Then, they'll continue the celebrations with a string of UK and Ireland shows throughout the summer, including a handful of festival headline slots.
