LCD Soundsystem are a rock band from New York, primarily consisting of frontman and producer James Murphy, alongside live performers.
The band formed in 2001, with their self-titled debut album following in 2005. They recorded three records together before splitting in 2011, shortly after the release of 'This Is Happening' the previous year, but reformed in 2016. Their fourth and most recent studio album, 'American Dream', then followed in 2017, with its lead single Tonite earning the band their first Grammy.
