Liam Payne is a singer-songwriter from Wolverhampton.
Starting his music career in 2010, he auditioned for The X Factor as a solo artist, but subsequently joined One Direction and competed as part of the group. They placed third in the competition, going on to become one of the biggest pop groups in the world and releasing five albums together before their split in 2016. From there, Payne embarked on a solo career, achieving success with singles such as Strip That Down and Familiar, as well as collaborations with the likes of Alesso, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Dixie D'Amelio, Zedd and Quavo. He released his debut solo record, 'LP1', in 2019. Liam Payne tragically died on October 16, 2024 at the age of 31, leaving behind a legacy from a truly incredible career that had a massive positive impact on the lives of people across the world.
