Liza Minnelli is an American singer and actress who many know as the The Queen of Broadway or The Queen of Hollywood. Born in 1946, she established herself as a nightclub singer and musical actress from the age of 19 onwards, and it wasn’t long before she made a big splash.
Rising to stardom appearing in ‘The Sterile Cuckoo’ (1969) amongst many other films, Minnelli set herself up for a successful career - picking up an Academy Award on the way for the film adaptation of the stage musical Cabaret. Though she’s arguably a more famous actress, her career in music has been more than glorious too - she’s picked up a couple of Grammys, was recognised as a living legend, and even received an induction into the Hall of Fame. Having performed in London’s Royal Albert Hall in July 2014, Liza Minnelli returns to the UK for a trio of shows in September 2015, when she'll reach London, Sheffield, and Glasgow.
