Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr Eazi, is an afro-pop artist from Nigeria, currently based in London. He is the pioneer of Banku music, a fusion sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns.
Mr Eazi released his debut mixtape, 'About to Blow', in July 2013, and then began to gain an international audience following the release of the 2015 single Skin Tight. His second mixtape, 'Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra To Lagos', was released in February 2017. In March 2018, he signed with Diplo's label Mad Decent and Universal Africa, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. In 2018 came 'Life Is Eazi, Vol 2 - Lagos To London'. So far in his career, he's won Soundcity MVP Awards' Best New Artist, Headies' Next Rated Artist and Ghana Music Awards Uk Afropop Artist of the Year.
