Nahko and Medicine For The People is an American world music collective, from Portland, Oregon, consisting of frontman Nahko Bear, alongside fellow musicians Chase Makai, Dustin Thomas, Justin Chittams, Pato and Hope Medford.
Formed in 2008, the band released their debut album, ‘On the Verge’, in 2014, which was followed by ‘Dark As Night’, in 2015. Their latest album was 2016's 'HOKA' through SideOneDummy Records, although Nahko Bear put out a solo album 'My Name Is Bear' in 2017. 2020 will see the release of 'Take Your Power Back' in May. The band have headlined their own tours and shows in the UK and USA and have played festivals across the world.
