Neurosis are an American experimental/post-metal band based in Oakland, California. Formed in 1985, the group consists of Scott Kelly, Steve Von Till, Dave Edwardson, Noah Landis, and Jason Roeder.
Neurosis would first emerge as a hardcore punk style band, but over the years and their many albums, their sound has progressed into a much more darker and more experimental style of metal. Now running their own label with Tribes of Neurot, Neurosis have continue to smash records out to this day, and put out their latest, 'Fires Within Fires', in September 2016. Also that year, they celebrated their 30th anniversary with two London shows. Since, they have reissued 'The Word As Law' and 'Pain Of Mind'. Back in 2019, Neurosis have announced a summer London show at the O2 Forum in July with support from Godflesh accompanied by European dates.
