OMD—an abbreviation of Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark—are a new wave group from Merseyside.
Formed in 1978, they are regarded as one of the most influential British bands of the 1980s, putting out 10 albums before their split in 1997. They reformed in 2006, going on to release a further four studio records to date, with their most recent being 'Bauhaus Staircase' in 2023. I have to say Andy McCluskey was beyond impressive, what a performance, his vocals were absolutely spot on, his windmill dancing was just brilliant and his rapport with the crowd just fantastic. The three guys in the band were great but Andy was the best! Absolutely Fantastic! Just loved Enola Gay live, cant praise them highly enough.

40 years on and still kicking it

In a flash these ageing scousers transported me back over 40 years to when I first heard them. Despite an age of 64, he absolutely nailed his vocals and eyes closed was hard to tell you were listening to a band almost entirely in their 60's. The music was sharp as a tack, the vocals as clear as glass and the enthusiasm they all showed was infectious.
This was a band who didn't want to just play a few songs, they wanted to engage the crowd and perform. This they did in spades. Amazing performance and one I am so glad I witnessed. I do hope they come back soon, the world needs bands like these.

Fantastic

The band were great. OMD had the crowd buzzing. It brought back so many memories from the eighties and I would like to see them again. Hopefully they will be touring the UK next year again, if so can't wait. I also saw them at the rewind festival in Perth, where they were fantastic.
