Overkill are a thrash band from New Jersey, consisting D.D. Verni, Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth, Dave Linsk, Derek "The Skull" Tailer and Jason Bittner.

Formed in 1980, they became one of the earliest thrash metal bands to sign to a major label, and achieved commercial success alongside the likes of Anthrax, Exodus, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Testament.

The band has released 20 albums (including an album of cover songs and box sets). Their most recent serving, 'Scorched', will arrive in April 2023.
