One of the most prominent figures in the '70s New York punk and art scenes, she earned the title of 'punk poet laureate' thanks to her passion for poetry. Today, she remains one of the most respected musicians to come out of America in the 20th century, releasing eight albums as a solo artist and a further three under the Patti Smith Group moniker. Her most recent, 'Banga', arrived in 2012. Patti Smith will headline a show as part of the Somerset House Summer Series in July 2024, following two nights at Dublin's Vicar Street in June.
