One of Ireland’s most popular artists, his broad interest in swing, jazz, rock n roll and Motown have had a massive influence on his music, often evident subtly within his traditional Irish songs. Having performed as part of several groups throughout the 1970s, he released his debut solo album 'Welcome Here Kind Stranger' in 1978, and has since out out a further 11 studio records.
