Portico Quartet are a modern jazz ensemble from South London.
The band was founded by Duncan Bellamy in 2005 after purchasing an exotic instrument at a music festival, which first inspired the group to play together. They have created their own cinematic sound by fusing jazz, electronica, ambient music and minimalism over the course of eight albums—their latest being 2021's 'Monument'—and have earned a Mercury Prize nomination for their work.
