Radio Birdman is an Australia punk band based in Sydney. Formed in 1974, the group consists of Rob Younger, Deniz Tek, Jim Dickson, Phillip 'Pip' Hoyle, Dave Kettley, and Nik Rieth.
One of Australia's first punk outfits, they paved the way for countless after them with their first EP, 'Burn My Eye', and their first album, 'Radios Appear'. Despite breaking up in 1978, the band's legacy was continued through their posthumous second record, and eventually, Radio Birdman would reunite. 2018 is set to see Radio Birdman playing shows across Australia, the UK, and Europe. The band sounded excellent, Rob's vocals were strong.They played a cover of MAGAZINE'S "Shot by both sides" which sent the crowd into a wild frenzy!! They played a good variety of their songs from ZENO BEACH 2006 and early material.
The ATM was hidden in the farthest corner of the venue.
