Roxette are a Swedish pop-rock band from Halmstad, consisting of Per Gessle and Lena Philipsson.
Formed in 1986 by the late Marie Fredriksson and Gessle, the band are Sweden's second-best-selling music act after ABBA, having sold over 80 million records worldwide. Their discography comprises 10 studio albums, their most recent record being 'Good Karma', issued in 2016 three years before Fredriksson's death in 2019 as a result of complications stemming from a 2002 cancer diagnosis. In May 2024, Gessle announced the reformation of Roxette with vocalist Philipsson. The duo will tour South Africa and Australia in February and March 2025.
