Roy Wood is an English singer-songwriter and musician from Kitts Green, Birmingham. He is best known for his roles in the bands; Wizzard, The Move, and Electric Light Orchestra, as well as his solo career.
Starting his music career as a member of The Move, the band released four albums, before disbanding in 1972. At the same time he formed Electric Light Orchestra with Jeff Lynne, but left in 1972, leading him to form Wizzard and launch his solo career. He released his debut solo album, ‘Boulders’, in 1973, which was followed by ‘Mustard’, in 1975, ‘On the Road Again’, in 1979, and ‘Starting Up’, in 1987.
