Saul Williams, is an American alternative hip hop artists from Newburgh, New York.
He started his music career in 1998, performing with artists such as Nas, The Fugees, Blackalicious, Erykah Badu, and De La Soul. He released his debut LP, ‘Amethyst Rock Star’, in 2001, which was produced by Rick Rubin. He followed this up with a self-titled second album in 2004. His 2007 album, ‘The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust!’ was produced by Trent Reznor. He has released another two albums, ‘NGH WHT: The Dead Emcee Scrolls with The Arditti Quartet’, in 2009, and ‘Volcanic Sunlight’, in 2011. He released his sixth album, ‘MartyrLoserKing’ in January 2016. He has has toured in support of both Nine Inch Nails and The Mars Volta, as well as having performed at Lollapalooza Festival.
