Scar the Martyr is an American heavy metal outfit formed in 2013 by Slipknot's legendary drummer Joey Jordison. One of his many side projects - he also performs in The Murder Dolls, played with The Rejects, and has featured on a record with Roadrunner United - it also includes Strapping Young Lad guitarist Jed Simon, Blush Response man Joey Blush, former Darkest Hour guitarist Kris Norris, up and coming singer Henry Derek, Kyle Konkiel on bass.
After being fully unveiled in June 2013, they wasted no time and put out their first EP - a special collection created for Revolver Magazine - in September, featuring four new tracks, two of which would feature on their sooncome debut album.
