Scream Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2025/2026Last Updated: 27 Sep 2023 4:51pm
Scream are an American hardcore punk outfit based out of Washington D.C. Formed in 1981, the group consists of Peter Stahl, Franz Stahl and Skeeter Thompson.
The band recorded five albums during the years before their 1990 split, though their most recent record, 'Fumble', didn't see the light of day until 1993. Reuniting in 2009, they also dropped the 'Complete Control Recording Sessions' EP in 2011. In September 2023, the band announced their first new album in 12 years, 'DC Special', which is scheduled to arrive through Dischord in November of that year. Less than 24 hours after the record's announcement, drummer Kent Stax died at the age of 61. Stax, who had been living with metastatic cancer, was a founding member of the Virginia band. After they released their third album, 'Banging the Drum', in 1986, he left the band for personal reasons and was replaced by then 17-year-old local drummer Dave Grohl, who lied about his age in order to tour with them. Stax returned to the group to cut their new full-length before he died. Scream will support their new LP with a series of North American tour dates this fall.
