Self Defense Family are an American post-punk band from Cohoes, New York, consisting of Patrick Kindlon, Andrew Duggan, Mary Brulatour, Chris Tenerowicz, Alan Huck, Mark O'Brien, Benjamin Tate, Kai Stone, Mathew Morand, Caroline Corrigan, Nick Warchol and Mike Fenton.
Formed in 2003, under the name End Of A Year, the band released their debut album, ‘Disappear Here’ in 2004, followed by ‘Sincerely’ in 2006, and ‘You Are Beneath Me’, in 2010, before they changed their name. They then went on to release, ‘Try Me’, in 2014 and ‘Heaven Is Earth’ in 2015. Self Defense Family have announced a UK tour for October with Creative Adult.
