Steely Dan is an American jazz-rock band from Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, featuring founding member Donald Fagen and a revolving tour of supporting musicians.
The band has sold over 40 million records worldwide, picking up some of the world's most coveted of awards and accolades along the way, including a Grammy Award for Album of the Year and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Formed in 1972, the band released their debut album, ‘Can't Buy a Thrill’, in 1972. After releasing six more albums, the band split, but reformed in 1993, releasing ‘Two Against Nature’ in 2000. The band put out their latest LP, ‘Everything Must Go’, in 2003. Sadly, co-founder Walter Becker died in September 2017, but the band are still touring. Steely Dan will perform on a run of US shows in autumn 2021, ahead of their rescheduled Earth After Hours Tour of North America in summer 2022.
