Sub Focus—real name Nicolaas Douwma—is a DJ and producer from Guildford.
He began producing music at just 13-years-old, but began to take it seriously in the early 2000s. After a string of singles that were hugely successful on the UK dance scene, he released his self-titled debut album in 2009, which he has since followed up with a further three studio records to date. His most recent, 'Evolve', arrived in 2023. Sub Focus will headline shows in Brighton and Oxford in January 2025, ahead of a huge Alexandra Palace London date in March. Fantastic to see Sub Focus finally. Banging tunes and fantastic light show on the stage. The display just added to the experience. Its easy for DJs and producers to just sit behind some decks and press play but not Sub Focus. The atmosphere was mental and the crowd went crazy through the whole thing. If he does another tour then count me in!
