Ted Nugent is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist and political activist from Michigan. Nugent initially gained fame as the lead guitarist of the Amboy Dukes, a band formed in 1963 that played psychedelic and hard rock. After playing with the Amboy Dukes, he embarked on a solo career, often attracting attention for his controversial conservative political views.
He released his debut solo album, a self titled LP, in 1975, and went on to share five more albums in the 1970s, six more in the 1980s, 'Spirit Of The Wild' in 1995, and since the turn of the century has released four more albums - the latest of which being 'The Music Made Me Do It' in 2018. Nugent was also a member of the Damn Yankees, with whom he released two albums - 'Damn Yankees' in 1990 and 'Don't Tread' in 1992. Ted Nugent heads out on a huge Us tour in summer 2019.
