The Calling are an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1996 by lead singer Alex Band.
The band are best known for their hit single, Wherever You Will Go, which topped the US Top 40 for 23 weeks, making it the second longest running number one in the chart’s history. The track features on the band's 2001 debut album, 'Camino Palmero', which was released to huge commercial success. Album number two, aptly titled 'Two', followed in 2004 before the band decided to call it a day in 2005.
