The Exploding Hearts are a garage punk and power pop band from Portland, Oregon.
Formed in 2001 with a shared love for '70s punk, the band released their debut album 'Guitar Romantic' in 2003 and from there, their cult status skyrocketed, coming to an abrupt halt when three of its four members were tragically killed in a van accident that same year. 'Guitar Romantic' remained a massively influential punk record during their absence, with surviving member Terry Six reforming the band with a new line-up in 2023 to commemorate its 20th anniversary.
