The Lox are a hip hop trio from Yonkers, New York.
Formed in 1994, the group formed in high school, performing in local shows and releasing demos before catching the eye of Mary J. Blige, who passed their music on to Sean 'Puff Daddy' Combes. They appeared on a handful of his tracks and were also hired as writers, going on to eventually release their debut album 'Money, Power & Respect' in 1998. The band have since put out a further three studio records, with the most recent being 'Living Off Xperience' in 2020, and have collaborated with the likes of The Notorious B.I.G., Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.
