The Presidents of the United States of America - or as they’re sometimes referred to, PUSA - are an American alt-rock band hailing from Seattle, Washington. Forming in 1993, they’ve gone on to find a fair amount of success, earning themselves two Grammy nominations and have earned the title of being platinum-sellers in the US and Canada.
Their eponymous major label debut album came out in 1995, and hit #6 in the US and #14 in the UK, paving the way for their 1996 sophomore effort ‘II’ - reaching the 30s in both the US and UK Album chart. After splitting in 1998, they turned on the millennium to release more new albums, though they didn’t find anywhere near as much success.
