The Sword are an American heavy metal outfit hailing from Austin, Texas. Forming in 2003, the band - consisting of vocalist and guitarist John ‘J. D.’ Cronise, guitarist Kyle Shutt, bassist Bryan Richie, and drummer Santiago ‘Jimmy’ Vela III - put out their debut album ‘Age of Winters’ three years later.
Their next album ‘Gods of the Earth’ gave them their first taste of commercial success, peaking at #102 in the US Albums chart, while their third ‘Warp Riders’ saw them chart even higher at #42. September 2016 saw The Sword return with their LP, 'High Country'. In March 2018, they returned with 'Used Future'. They've supported it with US and Canada shows through spring, and are set to play more through the summer, before their Australian dates later in the year. Get tickets below!
