The Trembling Bells are a psych-rock band from Glasgow. Formed in 2008, the band is comprised of Lavinia Blackwall, Mike Hastings, Alasdair C Mitchell, Alex Neilson and Simon Shaw. They seek to reanimate the psychic landscapes of Great Britain and relocate them to some vague, mythic land where basic human crises are encountered and conquered.
The band have released six albums to date, from their debut 'Carbeth' in 2009 on Honest Jon Records, through to heir most recent 'The Bonnie Bells of Oxford', a collaborative effort with Bonnie "Prince" Billy. The band's seventh LP, 'Dungeness', named after a headland on the south coast of England, will arrive on March 30 via Tin Angel Records. They'll support its release with a UK tour in April.
