Trombone Shorty—real name Troy Andrews—is a musician, producer and actor from New Orleans, Louisiana.
Lending his musical talents to the likes of Bo Diddley, LeAnn Rimes, Cee Lo Green, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Lenny Kravitz, U2 and Green Day, he has also released several of his own successful albums. His debut, ‘Trombone Shorty's Swingin' Gate’, arrived in 2002, and he has gone on to put out a further 11 records including, most recently, 'Lifted' in 2022. As well as his own shows—including two performances at The White House—he has supported Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hall & Oates, Jeff Beck and Dave Matthews Band on tour.
