Wavves Tickets, Tour Dates & Concerts 2024/2025 ♫Last Updated: 13 Jan 2020 10:48am
Wavves was the result of San Diego skateboarding fan Nathan William’s home-recording project. The DIY lo-fi sound made a buzz on the internet thanks to his free uploads of songs, as well as 7” singles, and cassettes.
His first release was the LP 'Wavves', followed up by his confusingly-named second, 'Wavvves'. Williams then took a turn and worked with Grammy-winning producer Dennis Herring for his third album, 'King of the Beach', which showcased a slicker sound. Williams then started touring as a trio alongside bassist Stephen Pope and drummer Billy Hayes. He and Pope recorded 'Afraid of Heights' with producer John Hill, and went on to release 'V' in October 2015, and their latest, 'You're Welcome' in 2017. Wavves have headline shows and tours around the UK, Europe and North America, as well as having co-headlined with the likes of Beach Fossils. In spring 2020, Wavves head to Australia for headline shows celebrating the 10th anniversary of 'King Of the Beach'.
