Wintersleep is a Canadian indie rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia, consisting of Paul Murphy, Loel Campbell, Tim D'eon, Jon Samuel and Scott Remila.
Formed in 2001, the band released their self-titled debut album in 2003, which was followed by an untitled album in 2005, both via Dependent Music. The band then signed to Labwork Music and released ‘Welcome to the Night Sky’ in 2007, which led them to win a Juno Award for New Group of the Year. ‘New Inheritors’ was released in 2010 and ‘Hello Hum’ came out in 2012. The band released ‘The Great Detachment’ in March 2016 via Dine Alone Records, and three years later came their latest, 'In The Land Of', in March 2019. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across North America and Europe, and have supported the likes of Paul McCartney. Wintersleep will play the UK and Ireland in September 2019.
