Atrocity are a heavy metal band from Germany. Forming in 1985, the band is made up of Alexander Krull, Thorsten Bauer, Sander van der Meer and Joris Nijenhuis, but have consisted of over 15 previous other members over the years.
Atrocity arose as a death metal band with their debut EP,'Blue Blood' in 1989, followed soon by Hallucinations, a concept album about drug use. Their second album, 'Todessehnsucht' ('Longing for Death'). Their musical scope broadened over the years, incorporating medieval and horror influences on their 1994 Dracula-based concept album 'Blut'. They also released 'Willenskraft' in 1996, before more albums throughout the 2000s: 'Gemini', 'Atlantis', 'After the Storm' in 2010 and 'Okkult' in 2013. Their latest was 2018's 'Okkult II'. Atrocity re set to embark on the Morbidfest Tour in May 2019, with I Am Morbid, Vital Remains, Atrocity and Sadist.
