Celebrating David Bowie is a tribute show in commemoration of David Bowie.
Originally set up in 2017 to mark what would have been Bowie’s 70th birthday, the inaugural show featured contributions from Bowie’s close friend Gary Oldman and former band members Mike Garson, Earl Slick, Adrian Belew, Mark Plati, Gerry Leonard, Gail Ann Dorsey, Sterling Campbell, Zachary Alford, Holly Palmer and Catherine Russell. Bauhaus singer Peter Murphy has been announced to lead the 2023 Celebrating David Bowie tribute tour, with guitarist Adrian Belew. Spacehog’s Royston Langdon, A Perfect Circle bassist Matt McJunkins, guitarist Scrote, Devo/A Perfect Circle drummer Jeff Friedl, saxophonist Ron Dziubla, and guitarist Eric Schermerhorn will also play in the touring group. Celebrating David Bowie will tour the United States in April and May, 2023, focusing on Bowie’s greatest hits with a special emphasis on the Ziggy Stardust era, his Berlin trilogy records ('Low', 'Heroes', and 'Lodger') and his later years.
