He begun his career as a James Brown impersonator, and was discovered by Gabriel Roth, co-founder of Daptone Records. He released his debut album, ‘No Time For Dreaming’ in 2011. In 2012, the documentary Soul of America, was made about his life. His second album, ‘Victim of Love’ came out in 2013. He's set to play London’s O2 Forum in March 2016.
