San Francisco's The Fresh & Onlys Announce Autumn UK Tour Dates

San Francisco band The Fresh & Onlys will release their first UK single - two blasts of wild pop music - 'Impending Doom / Troubling Vision' on limited edition 7" vinyl on 19th July and will play a handful of UK shows this September.

It's big beat, but not as we know it. With pointers ranging from Violent Femmes, 13th Floor Elevators to early 80s British indie-pop and a nod towards the Australian underground scene of the same decade, both tracks highlight the bands abilities in creating pop music that's skewed yet perfect.

DJ Tiesto has become the victim of the latest Internet death hoax.

Reports that emerged this morning suggested that the Dutch DJ and record producer had died in a fatal car crash on the Interstate 80 highway in California. The rumour spread like a nasty virus within hours, eventually becoming a trending topic on social networking website Twitter.com for the term "Tiesto died".

Will And The People - Morning Sun - (Album Review)

The Brixton group, Will And The People have had a busy year so far, UK and European touring, Glastonbury, Stadium shows with Pop Princess’s Girls Aloud and a debut album, Morning Sun due for release on the 19th July.

The sound is something for everyone; it touches on reggae, ska, pop, indie and folk. There are touches of The Police, Paulo Nutini, and The Specials. It is upbeat, warm and happy. A sound for the summer.

'We Can't Fly', the new single from synth-heavy, alt-dance duo Aeroplane, is easily one of the best tracks out this month.

It starts off ambiguously, with a pounding drum beat which could easily take any direction. Thank God it follows the one it does.

After some African style drum effects and childlike vocals (which are, unfortunately, slightly reminiscent of the introduction to Mika's 'Lollipop') the song gradually builds into one of the most addictive songs I've heard this summer.
