Following the unofficial break-up/ “hiatus” of American rockers Fall Out Boy, former band bassist Pete Wentz and his new outfit The Black Cards have announced three select shows for the UK.
Having been the main player in the destruction of Fall Out Boy, Pete Wentz disappeared from the public eye to set-up his own band The Black Cards. Along with himself, the bassist has signed up female singer Bebe Rexha, drummer Spencer Peterson and guitarist Nate Patterson for the new project.
Vocalist Rexha is a newbie to the music scene with the other band members coming from previous bands, Peterson being the former drummer of Hidden in Plain View and Patterson from Receiving End of Sirens, The Dear Hunter and Thrice.
The Black Cards’ debut album must be nearing completion or has already been completed with Wentz recently announcing via social networking site Twitter in August that, “off to NYC with family tomorrow to finish black cards album, let the lil monster see the city, possibly a showcase to end the week.”
Playing three select shows in Glasgow, Manchester and London this autumn, this will be the first opportunity for UK fans to hear Pete Wentz’s new band in action.
The Black Cards will play the following UK shows:
October 2010
25th G2, Glasgow
26th Roadhouse, Manchester
27th ICA, London
