Scottish band formed in in early 2006, Glasvegas, have announced three UK shows ahead of the release of their forthcoming new album.
Championed by music industry mogul Alan McGee, Glasvegas have merited compairison to bands such as Jesus And Mary Chain and the Magnetic Fields. Taking time off to concentrate on writing new material, Glasvegas returned to the studio last year to record their second album 'EUPHORIC ///HEARTBREAK\\\\'.
Set for release later this year, the new album was written in Santa Monica and produced by Flood (Depeche Mode, U2, The Killiers and PJ Harvey). Speaking about the new album, Glasvegas frontman James Allan commented, “This is the biggest record I've ever heard”.
Releasing the new track 'The World Is Yours' as a free download last week, Glasvegas have now announced three dates to preview their second album. The Scottish group will open the mini-tour at Edinburgh's Liquid Rooms on March 1st before a date in their native Glasgow on March 2nd. Glasvegas finish their trio of shows at London's Heaven on March 3rd.
