Following a sold out one off Dingwalls show earlier in 2010, Thirteen Senses return to London on Tuesday 22nd February at The Relentless Garage. The show is the only confirmed date for the band thus far and marks a celebration of the release of their third studio album, ‘Crystal Sounds’, on their own b-sirius label.
‘Crystal Sounds’ signals the return of a band that burst onto the UK scene in 2003. Debut single ‘Thru The Glass’ became a mainstay on Radio One and the band’s debut album, ‘The Invitation’ was one of the big sellers of 2004.
Following the release of their second album, ‘Contact’, the four members decamped to their own studio where they wrote and recorded the songs that became ‘Crystal Sounds’. With guitarist Tom Welham at the mixing desk and unencumbered by label pressure or commercial demands, the band have finally made the album of which they were always capable, an expansive, melodic, ambitious rock record shot through with a clutch of close influences from the likes of Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros, Pink Floyd and Mercury Rev.
