British band Killing Joke, one of rock music's most iconic and influential bands, have announced they will return for some 30th anniversary shows complete with their original line-up of Jaz Coleman, Geordie, Youth and Paul Ferguson.
Coleman and the gang are to trailblaze through three cities at the end of March with gigs confirmed for Notthingham's Rock City, Manchester's O2 Academy as well as a show announced for London's South Bank Ether Festival on 1st April. More details on the London show to be announced soon.
Killing Joke's brand of dark, uncompromising music that spawned tracks such as 'Requiem', 'Love Like Blood' and 'Fire Dances' became synonymous with the British new-wave and post-punk movement from the late 1970 to the mid 1980s. Now armed with a more industrial-rock sound, Joke's most recent album 'Absolute Dissent' surfaced at the end of 2010.
Fans can expect to be blown into orbit during Killing Joke's 30th Anniversary elctrifying UK live shows.
Killing Joke will play the following UK shows:
March 2011
30th – Rock City, Nottingham
31st – Academy2, Manchester
