Legendary Southern Rocker Gregg Allman Announces July Tour Dates & Tickets

Allman Brothers Band frontman and solo artist Gregg Allman has announced three UK tour dates for July following the release of his new album ‘Low Country Blues’. The album was released on 7th February and is his first in fourteen years, after 1997’s ‘Searching for Simplicity’.
Gregg originally formed the Allman Brothers Band with his brother Duane in 1969. After the death of his brother in 1971, Gregg embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album ‘Laid Back’ in 1973. He also continued working with the Allman Brothers Band and still tours with them today. The group were one of the pioneers of US Southern rock in the Sixties and Seventies alongside Lynyrd Skynyrd and Creedence Clearwater Revival. They released a number of classic songs including ‘Jessica’, which has since become known as the theme tune to BBC TV’s ‘Top Gear’. The band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995.
'Low Country Blues' is a collection of classic blues tracks by artists such as BB King and Muddy Waters translated into Allman’s own Southern style. The album also features the talents of legendary rhythm and blues pianist Dr John, who can be heard playing keyboards on a number of the tracks.
