Detroit Social Scene Confirm UK Tour, Reveal Details Of New Single & Tickets

New Year, new start. Detroit Social Club are ripping up the rule book and going it alone after setting up their own label, Fuck Pop. Through this the band will release their brand new single, 'I Am Revolution', on Monday March 28th.

Brisling with raw sounding guitars and a drum sound that cracks like a North Sea thunderstorm, new single 'I Am Revolution' is a return to the dirty rock and roll sound that made them their name. This is a no holds barred statement of intent from the uncompromising lords of the Tyne. Check out the video to 'I Am Revolution' below.

The band will also be embarking on a DIY tour of the UK. Kicking off in February, it will see them take in a massive 23 shows on what is to be their biggest tour to date. Sleeping on floors each night and hitting the road each day, the band are taking it back to basics playing at the small, sweaty rock clubs that originally fueled their love for life on the road.

Detroit Social Club dominated much of last year’s festival season; playing the main stage at the Isle of Wight festival, two shows at Glastonbury, V, T in the Park, Ibiza Rocks and Fuji Rocks, and coming 13th in NME’s poll of the best summer festival bands. They were also fortunate enough to support Oasis at their last ever show plus the likes of Primal Scream and Ian Brown.

The band released their critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Existence’ in May last year with Q magazine calling it “stunning and a genuinely brilliant debut album’, and the Sun hailing DSC as a band with ‘the swagger and attitude to conquer all before them’.
