The Wanted have unveiled the video for their new single, ‘Gold Forever’. The song is the official release for this year’s Comic Relief Red Nose Day, and the band are set to perform the song live at this year’s televised campaign programme on Friday, March 18th.
The British boyband recently posted the video on their website, receiving a torrent of positive comments from their legion of fans. The video features the band walking through a grand house and eventually donning the trademark red noses for the appeal. The promo is an appropriately comic take on the traditional boyband cringe-fest, subverting a smouldering, brooding ‘staring down the camera lens’ affair into a silly free for all.
In an interview late last month, singer Max George showed his enthusiasm about representing the Red Nose Day appeal, saying: "This song is about a day in your life that you never forget. It's an upbeat, feel-good track and our favourite so far. We're really excited to get it out there, and delighted that it is supporting such a great cause."
