Charging in with 3 hit singles already to her name, Peckham’s princess Katy B is set to release stand out album track ‘Broken Record’.
Combining both angelic vocals and colossal beats with a lyrical narrative any girl can relate to, Katy’s new single delivers both an emotive love song and a club anthem.
“Broken Record is the next chapter to my mission.” says Katy. “It's about liking someone and thinking about them all the time, but when you finally get them, you feel scared of holding on to them and their power of being capable to hurt you.”
A perfect pop song driven along by a large dose of bass and breaks straight out of the underground, that gives a knowing nod back to the 90s drum n bass rave era while still remaining utterly contemporary.
Set to drop a week ahead of one of the most eagerly-awaited debuts of recent times, Katy's ‘On A Mission’, ‘Broken Record’ is yet another genre-defining classic from the 21 year old. Released on March 28th through Rinse, it comes backed with remixes by DJ Fresh, Todd Edwards and Jacques Greene.
Katy supports Tinie Tempah on his UK tour throughout February and heads out on her own headline tour in April/May, dates below.
